Art Guide - The Art Lovers' Guide to
Britain and Ireland There are hundreds of
magnificent public art collections in Great Britain and
Ireland, and each year they are enjoyed by millions of
visitors from all over the world. Art Guide is for
anyone who has ever enjoyed a trip to one of these
collections, or for people who are planning a visit to
one of them. Art Guide is organised by artist, by museum
and geographically. The database currently contains more
than 1900 named artists, more than 650 museums, over
4500 individual listings and comprehensive exhibitions
listings. For each artist there is a list of their works
and where they can be found; for each museum a list of
outstanding works in the collection, an address,
telephone number and links to other museums in the same
region. |
Artchive - Theory and
Criticism This is a museum-style site where they
say that 'At the Artchive, the only constant will be
change'. Each gallery will include new material so that
each visit offers variety, taken from new scans in the
Recent Acquisitions gallery, to additional art criticism
excerpts and new installations of feature exhibits. The
museum is divided into several galleries: The Artchive,
Art Reviews, Theory and Criticism, Juxtapositions,
CD-ROM reviews and Art links. |

warned. |
